Why Love Is So Messy
Listen or watch on your favorite platform
Love was never meant to be this complicated. But here we are—fighting over dishes, scrolling past each other on our phones, carrying silent disappointments no one says out loud.
We were created for connection. Yet something cracked, and the fracture runs through every part of our lives.
You can see it in the distance that creeps into marriage.
In the way friendships fade when selfishness wins.
In the awkward silence between parents and kids.
Even in the anger we binge online because deep down we’re hooked on conflict.
In this first episode of People Are the Worst, I sit down with my friend Pastor Mark to ask the question we all feel but rarely name: why does love feel so messy, and why does God still call us into it? From Eden to everyday life, we wrestle with the reality that people can be the worst… and yet God created us for community.
If you’ve ever wondered whether the mess is worth it, take heart: God hasn’t left you to figure it out alone. He shows up in the middle of it.
