Jesus Walked on Water… Seriously?!
Listen or watch on your favorite platform
The storms of life have a way of wearing us down, don’t they? Wave after wave of loss, grief, fear, and injustice. And somewhere in the middle of it all, we start to wonder if Jesus sees us at all.
That’s exactly where the disciples found themselves one night on the Sea of Galilee. Soaked. Exhausted. Fighting the wind with everything they had. Just hours earlier, they had watched Jesus feed thousands with a boy’s small lunch. But now, they were alone in the dark and terrified.
Then, through the chaos, they saw Jesus walking on the water. His voice cutting through the wind: “Take heart. It’s Me. Don’t be afraid.”
For a few incredible moments, Peter stepped out and joined Him. But when fear stole his focus, he began to sink.
This story reminds us that Jesus doesn’t wait for the storm to pass before He comes close. He comes right into the middle of it. Faith doesn’t mean calm seas. It means keeping our eyes on the One who walks above them.
